Desktop Dead In The Water

I was on my computer and it froze up, my mouse did not even have any light to it. I tried to shut the tower off, using the power button and it would not go off. So I unplugged it, waited a couple of minutes and plugged it back in. For just a few seconds a message of "No Signal" will show, then the screen goes blank again.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be? Below are my computer specs.

Acer Inspire AM5640-45401a
Intel Pentium Dual Core Processer E2160
250 Ram
3GB
DVR2 memory
Windows Vista :(

Its like going to the doctor and saying it hurts when I do this.

Could be any number of things. Check the Monitor to be sure it is plugged in correctly.
Check the memory to be sure its seated properly. Remove the Battery and reinstall. unplug the power supply from the board and reinstall. If you have the ability to put the Hd in a outside dock see if the hd is spinning.

You should be able to get in Bios.
