Its a AM2 board, not AM2+. AM2+ and AM3 has the same HT.

I thought AM2<AM2+<AM3 so far as hyperthreading went, my bad
Hypertransport.
Manufactures have really screwed up how the generations went.
AM2 was 1000/2000 HT with up DDR2 800 support.
AM2+ was 2600/5200 HT with up to DDR2 1066 support.
AM3 was 2600/5200 HT with DDR3 support.
Really the only difference between AM2+ and AM3 is they slapped a AM3 socket (so you could not put a AM2/+ processor with only a DDR2 memory controller in a DDR3 board) and DDR3 slots.
Like the GA MA790X UD4P and GA MA790XT UD4P. Exact same board, but the XT has a AM3 socket and DDR3 slots.
Now they are making AM2 chipset boards with a AM3 Socket on it with DDR3 slots. But only has 1000/2000 HT calling them AM3 boards. Kinda misleading. Dont know what really it should be called, has a AM2 chipset with a AM3 socket and DDR3, but cant run AM2/+ processors.
A Bastard Board, LOL
