Need to replace my 1156 Gigabyte motherboard

Hi everyone, looking to replace my motherboard listed in my signature.

Maybe someone has a cheaper alternative that is just as good?

I like Asus too but im not sure if my ram would be compatible with other boards

That looks like an excellent choice if you need all those features, for a good price too. But if you're not using USB3 or SATA6Gbps (useless for HDDs) then the GA-P55M-UD2 would be a better choice, it's an awesome overclocker and doesn't break the bank, either.

Thx Fastdude, I went with the board I put down... I figure maybe Ill take advantage of an external hardrive with USB 3 one day. I can care less about the Sata though.. damn your only 12 and you got some knowledge, what kind of build do you have or / want

Haven't got the money for new build ATM, but new one will be built after Christmas, probably based around a G6950 which I'm going to overclock crazy, and a HD5770/HD6850 depending on what I can afford

How does that benchmark against an I3 . I was not familiar with your processor . so I had to look it up

this is less expensive, and i'd trust it better. has USB 3.0 but only 1 pci -e (i only see one vid card in your sig, so unless you're going to sli i'd go for this!
