Will it also read/write cd's using a program?

What drive would you recommed?

As long as the drive is a burner and not just a reader, it will burn cd's and dvd's.

Does the blue laser of BD drives read CDs and DVDs?

You do realize there are separate lasers/eyes for different types of media? Why do you think a dvd drive can burn cd's? DVD burners have 2 lasers. One for cd's and one for dvd's.

Yes, but the slot system for blue ray and normal DVDs are different of-course, but I don't know about Blu-ray, but DVD have slots through which 1s and 0s are read, hows it in BD? the reading and writing?

Generally, but they don't have to though. But generally, they will burn them. I haven't see any of the blue ray burner doesn't burn all of them yet.
