Need help selecting parts to build my computer. I already have a monitor and WD 1.0 TB HD. This computer will be used to drive the attached software (http://www.computrainer.com/html/sysreq.html), connect to internet for software upgrades only, and also connect to my Samsung big screen. Any suggestions would be helpful. Looking to spend somewhere between $500 and $750.

Thanks Benny Boy for the link. I didn't realize that Newegg has all of these combos. How do I know if the video card will allow me to connect to my big screen? Don't you need a certain graphics card for that?
 
Yes, and if you wanted to customize the build more, most of each component can be comboed with a second component.
But imo, that one in the link looks really good for quality parts and the price. Including the quality of psu & case, which is unusual.
These:
1 x mini HDMI
2 x DVI
are the connections.
I'm sure that card will do that 50" and then some. It'a higher end card.
You can post the link to the card in the card forum and get info for more knowledgable peeps on cards.

Oops, I see you already have a hard drive. I would also buy a decent video card. Here is an okay video card:

Thanks, is there a particular DVD drive you recommend? Also many of the comments on the one case are pretty mixed. Is there another one that you think might work just as well. I'm OK with spending a little more money.
 
OK, one last question. Is there any harm in going with a 650W PS vs 500? Is there such a thing as "too much" power?

I think the CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650 Watt is a better part than what I suggested. It is okay to go with a higher Watt power supply because you have room for future expansion if you wish.
