OK card for 280w PSU, Dell

Hey all, I know I've been here off and on over the years; I appreciate your all's help every time...:D

Anyways, I need to know if this video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500161 will be ok in a Dell Optiplex 755, desktop form factor, given that it only has a 280 W PSU. The description on Newegg says recommended 300 W PSU, but with it being a lower end card, I don't think it will suck too much juice, right?

Thanks!

I wouldn't put any card in ther without changing your power supply, it isn't worth the risk. Dell won't cover it (if it is still under warranty), because you modified their system, so when that PSU blows, and most probably takes out other components, you are out the price of a whole computer, rather than $25-30 for a decent PSU, such as:

also, what is the point in getting it, you can spend just a few $ extra for an 8600GT, or for $10 extra (after MIR) a 9500GT:

Thanks for the advice, but I should had mentioned that the "desktop form factor," as Dell calls it, requires a low profile card and a proprietary PSU :(

However, after doing some research, I found that the most powerful card that Dell put in this particular computer, Radeon HD 2400, consumed 25 W max and the Zotac GeForce 8400 GS only consumes 17 W max...

Was that with the same PSU though?
