XP on i7

I don't see why not. XP isn't particularly great with multiple processors, but as long as you've got drivers for your hardware I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Windows 7 is new and it doesn't support 4-5 year old softwares and important softwares like Turbo C++, it requires lots of other softwares to run.

Seems like Win7 pro would be the answer there. Comes with a copy of XP that you can run in a virtual machine. It has seamless integration with the Win7 desktop:

Should depend on the motherboard, more then the cpu. I have built a few i7's for people using MSI motherboards. The motherboards I used came with Drivers for XP, Vista, and Win 7.

I am not completely sure but I have heard about it that Xp will run on core i7, but you will be subject to the 3G RAM limitation.

Not if you have the X64 bit version:P

To the Op,That computer professional said who said no should go back to collage and start over again, seems to me he has no clue.

But i dont understand why anyone would want to stick with Xp anymore,Ive been running 7 x 64bit since the BETA and ive not had one game or app that not ran on it yet.

Time to move on to 7 ;)
