Windows license question

I have two discs for Windows 7: One is 7 Professional, the other is Home Premium.

The Pro was purchased to install on my laptop.
The Home Premium came as a free upgrade from Vista for my Desktop.

I have already installed the Home Premium on my Desktop, but would like to put the Pro on there instead.
Will I be able to install the Pro on my desktop, and then use the Home Premium on my laptop?

If you went to a retail store and bought it with a big shiny box then yes, only if you installed a copy of Vista on your laptop so that you could install the upgrade to windows 7 over that, because they only give you the upgrade disc.

What does it say on the disc or the sticker that has the product key?

Arg, wouldn't you know it..I cleaned my office now can only find the Pro disc.
I'll post back when I find it, but not sure if this helps:
I ordered the PC with Vista preinstalled, and it was eligible for a free upgrade to 7, so the Home Premium was procured in that manner. The 7 Pro was purchased as an upgrade to Vista on my laptop. In order to place the order in both cases, if memory serves me, I entered a Serial # for Vista in order to "prove" I had a copy (not sure if Microsoft servers would link these serial #s so that each upgrade would only work for a specific computer).

The disc says Window 7 Upgrade Media, and has a Gateway stamp on it.
The sleeve has the product key sticker on it, which reads Win Vista HmPrm - Win 7 HmPrm UPG Fulfill Acer Group.

This looks like OEM to me..anyone think otherwise?

As a side question: is Pro upgrade worth it?
What I really want is to be able to make multiple log-in accounts for my PC so my wife, or daughter, or guests, can use a different account.

Sounds like OEM to me. Home premium will give you multiple accounts too

Sweet. For some reason I thought it wouldn't. So the only real benefit is the XP emulator?

edit: Yep, it is definitely OEM. I ran SIW on it and it actually says OEM (just discovered this neat & free little prog)
