Scan, Overclockers, ariapc, ebuyer and dabs are all good in their own way. There isn't really a UK equivalent of Newegg.com, there are lots of smaller British etailers though.
The closest one I would say is ebuyer, due to the layout of menus but mainly due to the fact it's the biggest.

i am a regular customer of ebuyer, i love their site, a great selection of components, their prices are usually very competetive, they have a good product reviews section with buyer ratings etc, anytime ive ever had to return anything theres been no hassle, and there standard 5 day delivery you get free if you spend more than fifty quid, ive never had to wait the full 5 days, maplin is also good for smaller supplies like cables etc but their component prices are ridiculous, another good site i like is aria.com

I always use Scan, their prices are 99% of the time better than OcUK, even if you have free shipping with OcUK, and with free shipping or picking up in store (depends if I can be arsed driving to Bolton same day, or if I can be bothered waiting for shipping), the price brings it below that of Ebuyer most of the time too if you were to go with the same shipping method (1-3 day).
Even if the price is a couple £ over its competitors, I will still choose Scan for customer server, returns, and better yet, another opportunity to go in store should anything muck up, it is easily the single best store (as in the shop itself) in the country, hands down
