it is very impressive, ive seen a few videos of extreme testing of hdds and ssds, and they can take alot of physical abuse and still be readable, strange to think how some that never really get any abuse can just give up the ghost out the blue.

Yeah, it's kind of weird. I wonder how an armour-plated SSD would cope with virtual abuse;)?
i.e. Flooding it with Terabytes of data again and again, measure it before and after TRIMing
 
yeah well supposedly ssds have a longer life expectancy than hdds, even with alot of use, but i love my ssd its by far one of the best performance upgrades you can do, they give you much better boot up and shut down times, still expensive so not practical for a single drive setup, so i bought a small 60gb one for around £100 and use it just for windows and have a standard 1tb hdd for file storage.
