How much would this gaming rig be worth/how good you think it is??

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, trying to get this properly valued.

I have built this up over the years and now I want to make the turn to Mac as it would be better for studying on.
Everything has been put in with care, and everything on it is legal and nothing has been moded or overclocked by me. It plays all the newest game at tops :) Even minecraft :O

Q6600 @ 2.4ghz
680i Sli Mobo
Gtx 460 1gb stock overclocked
9800gt 1 gb dedicated physx
3gb ddr2 ram
750w psu
500gb Hard drive (inc Win7 Uli 64bit, Office 2010 enterprise + selection of games)
Blueray + Super dvd combo
G110 logitech keyboard
20” + 16” screen
Speakers
Saitek Cyborg mouse
Antec 902 + Extra blue fan
Blue Neons (For the hell of it)

This might be a good start for someone to get there teeth into or something.

Lemme know what you think it is worth?
 
roughley, to start i would say $800 ish, but in the end you will probably end up settling with around $600-$650ish, mainly because the cpu and motherboard is outdated, and the ram is only 3 gigs as well as out dated. plus its used with no warranty. just my opinion

With all that extra software, I'd say $800 as a low guess. Alot of the parts are new tech, and he's including a load of peripherals, too.
 
I'm thinking what the others havd said, but you might be able to squeeze a little more out of it if your selling it to a noob who is not too computer literate.

Case in point, there are still Pentium 4 machines going for $250+ on craigslist :good:
 
Ah, around 800-900. USD. If you sell it on ebay, shipping will kill the deal for quite a few people, so you have to make a) cheaper, or b) get yourself ripped off on shipping charges (i.e, charge less than it will cost).
 
Just an idea, but what if i sold it in bits :/ Piece by piece on FeeBay

And if i sold it that way wouldn't i lose all the software :/ I made the mistake of doing digital downloads and not getting discs :( Damn Microsoft.

Oh and btw I am britsh so working in Pounds :) £

It'd be a big hassle with all that stuff. I've seen lesser rigs than that go for >£1,000 on eBay.
 
selling the prephirals, seperate, might get you more money. A lot of times when people buy a new gaming computer they already have speakers, monitor, etc. The computer isn't their first, not if they are gaming. At least not usually...

Good idea.
So how about, you sell the rig whole, but the peripherals separate?
 
This is true :/ I have been reasearching on ebay and I havent seen any go for more than 500. :/

I dont see the harm in trying tbh :/

And then sell the peripherals separate after i have sold the rig. Makes sense.

Now do a bid? Or buy it now for example say £1000. Or do that and also the offer thingy :/

Starting bid at whatever the least amount you are willing to take for it. Buy-it-now if you want, but beware, if you haven't sold for a while on ebay, they changed the buy it now so that it disappears after the first bid. The buy-it-now is only as good as long as nobody bids (which I think is really stupid).

But what about going it so there is a buy it now price and then they can make an Offer on the rig?

I'd pay around $450 - $500 for it, as is, but that's only because of the Q6600. I know it's outdated and all, but it was a damn good processor and I can't seem to get my hands on one. Cheers.
