Is this news true?

probably, certainly seems plausible. the line up cpus is about what i would have expected since sandy bridge is out soon, would have been nice to see 6 and 8 core variants tho

LGA1155 (sandy bridge) is replacing LGA1156 so no 6 cores there. Ivy bridge (late 2011) will have 6/8 cores.
@Ankur - BTW, those roadmaps have been out a long time, they're almost certainly "true"
 
I thought ivy bridge was a bit further off than 2011 thats why i thought there would have been 6 and 8 core variants.
intel seem to be tick tocking a bit quicker than usual :)

Ivy bridge is coming out later, I have heard anywhere from Q3 -Q4 2011, but the CPUs in that list are for sandy bridge.
 
Any idea whats the difference between i7-2600 and i7-2600K in that list?:confused: The probable price is actually 294$ for 2600 and around 310 for 2600K, but the specs seems same to me.

Any k processor has an unlocked multiplier, which will be an overclocker's last resort (along with extreme edition CPUs) due to the fact that Sandy Bridge's bus speed controls all the other components, so there is virtually no FSB OC'ing. Oh, Intel..... :rolleyes:
