My 8 year old Gateway Laptop with 256mb of RAM, a single core 1.8ghz celeron and a 5200rpm ata drive and windows XP Pro can boot faster than my computer (4 gigs of Ram quad core, 250 gts vid card) and my friends BRAND NEW alienware laptop that he got yesterday with 8 gigs of ram an i7 and a ssd.
IDK HOW THIS IS EVEN POSSABLE! And no Im not trolling...

Although i have tweaked the os A LOT so that might be why but still....

Maybe it's because XP is much less of a resource hog...

Strange how it beats the SSD though.

Windows 7 does use alot of resources i went back into XP Pro 32 bit the other day (dual booted OS's) to play some older games and found the environment far more snappy than 7 even though its only a 32 bit OS I was very happy with its performance. Although i do love 7 aswell. ;)
