I need a free data recovery program?

I haven't had this problem in a long time. I remember asking about it but I don't remember the program. Somehow I have a hard drive that somehow got it's partition messed up. I don't want to try and mess around with fixing the partition table. I would like to get the files off of it and buy some new hard drives put a new os on it and the files on to it.

What I need is a free program that will recover data from a hard drive and be able to transfer any files it finds to a folder on my good drive. I remember the program that I used before took a few days to find everything on a hard drive that had a lot of data on it. I don't care if the program takes that long.

Any ideas on a good program?
 
I don't know if it considered "Good" as these things go; but the one I used was "Recover It All Professional" from : www.dtidata.com . It worked good enough for me, though it wasn't free when I got it; though I think they are using that version as a "Free" version now because they have newer and better ones. I know they have some free versions.
