Hi!

My computer freezes randomly no matter what i do, i have formatted it many times but not work, sometimes even the BIOS freezes. I have installed all drivers and i have runned memtests with 2 different memorytesters so its not the ram.

Here is my system specs:

AMD Phenom™ II X2 560 Processor
M4N68T Pro mainboard
2 x 2G ram
ati radeon 4850
corsair cx430 power

AND here is the Event Viewer logfile:

I suspect it might be something to do with the service control manager error ?

Thx in advance! =)

Does the bios recognize the CPU as a Phenon II 560. To support the 560 it needs bios 0703. But if your computer freezes while updating it will brick the board (doorstop)

Check to make sure all the ram is seated properly. Then download MEMTEST, burn it to a CD, boot to it, and test the RAM.

Yes i have bios version 0703. The ram is sitting properly, and i have done that memtest already. What could be the problem :\

what drivers do you have installed? Are they the Windows ones or manufacturer drivers?

Since it's a fresh install, I imagine you don't have anything installed. I'd test the hard drive and if it passes, do a format and reinstall Windows again.

Since even the BIOS freezes it isn't the HDD. You could try running Sandra or Everest to see what voltage various components are actually getting. Sounds like something is defective. If not RAM, (First Suspect), then it must be Processor, Mobo, or Power Supply.
