To be honest, this is just what the verizon guy told me. So I don't really any more than that. When my tax return goes into my account, I'm going to go try it out and I'll tell you guys how it works out.

If you pre-ordered it I heard they ship overnight on February 9th, so you have it on the 10th.

Honestly I think it's all the hype, both from Apple and other online tech sites that make people want an iPhone. At first I was saying that I would never want to get an iPhone again, but then after constantly seeing and hearing about it, I almost made up my mind to get it when it comes out for Verizon. So today I went into the AT&T store to check out the iPhone 4, and I can say I remember why I got rid of it in the first place. The only thing that it really has going for me is the look, gestures, seamless integration with music, photos, and videos, and nice display. It seems smaller then I remember, but that's probably just because the rest of the smart phones have gotten larger. The unoriginal icons that have remained the same for the past 3+ years, limited customization, and overall the phone just feels dated.

If anyone is considering getting the iPhone 4 for Verizon, I highly recommend that you go to an AT&T store or test out a friends iPhone 4 before pre/ordering yours for Verizon.

I also saw the antenna issue first hand. When I first heard about it I thought it was just hype, and that all phones do it. I've noticed my phone may drop a bar or two if I hold it a certain way, but I knew that was just the orientation of the antenna in relation to the RF signal. The iPhone 4's problem is huge, if I held it with my right hand the signal would remain the same (3-4 bars), however I keep the phone in the same location and orientation but hold it with my left hand, and the signal quickly drops down to no service.

I have verizon with my motorola droid im not sure if im switching to the iphone or not never had one before I may do it but probably wait tell the iphone 5 comes out.

Honestly at this stage you're better off waiting a bit Verizon will get there iPhone in February. The white iPhone MIGHT ship this spring but by June the iPhone 5 will be annouced and released in the following weeks.

Go to an AT&T store and test out an iPhone 4 there, they are exactly the same feature wise.

The white iPhone looks like a cheap toy TBH, the black is much sleeker. Also, I've heard mixed things about the iPhone 5. Some say Apple is waiting for 4G, so they will wait until next spring, others say this summer will be a minor upgrade like the 3G > 3GS, and others say the iPhone 5 is coming this spring, but won't be on Verizon until next year.

In Canada w/Bell iPhone 4 is $159.95 16GB 3 year contract. 32GB $269.95 3 years.

That's with a 2 year plan. And probably after the $100 rebate. So you are looking at paying $300 up front.
