What do you think of this build?

Anything you'd change?


I'm thinking of keeping both my 8800's, but I'm guessing only one slot runs at the full X16? Would it be worth SLI'ing them?

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16)
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (@x4 mode, 2.5GT/s, black slot)

What is your budget mate?...why not consider a SandyBridge custom build?

About £680 in total.

I've had enough of building them myself, I don't have the time for it any more. It's a pain in the ass, haha.

Do you do much gaming these days?

That sites a bit crap though,It does not give you a "None" option on the hard drive part,so your forced to buy one...but you get a spare 500Gb drive so...

I've build this for £690;

Looks pretty decent. I liked your build, but there were a few things I'd change, like the power supply and the case. If I change them I have to drop the CPU a little.

Oh the 2500k will be just as good ,I mean the the 1156 build you put first would be great too but for around the same price might aswell go with the latest eh

I must admit though i hate that site ,Im just use to going on Ebuyer or something and doing it that way....id never ever buy a pre-built ever again.

Yeah, I was looking up some reviews of the 2500K and it looks like it beats the i7's in some cases!
