Ive been thinking of getting a new Monitor,Not sure yet though its its really worth it?

My current one is a Belinea o.display 2, 22-inch Wide LCD. (1680x1050)

I was thinking if i was to get a new one it would be something along the lines of a 24 inch,1920x1080 (So Full HD) and using a HDMI cable.

What you think? big diffrence from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080?

Kind of depends what you need the higher resolution for? If you're going to be watching movies on it, then ya, get it, but if you're doing gaming, it wouldn't be that much of a noticeable difference. (from what I was told)

My uncle got the same monitor just his is 22inch great monitor sharp bright colours... for gaming/movie any general use its wicked. comes with dvi, hdmi and vga inputs couple on ebay sold for around £80 witch is a really good price

I personally would recommend a Samsung. I'm dual-monitoring a Samsung P2250 and TV atm and they are brilliant (1920x1080 and 1440x900). I know its not the same from moving from 1680x1050, but I really can't tell much difference with games, but Films and TV programs however, there is a HUGE difference.

Nev mate you know me and i'm a tight git but i have just bought a 28" full HD TFT with HDMI from Novatech with vat and postage £255.97 and yes you
will see the difference.Go for it my other monitor was 22".

Resolution 1920x1200.

Ive always liked the Dell monitors they look really nice,So thats one to consider.

I thought nev wanted a bigger monitor,a 23" is not a great deal of difference
from his 22" so whats the point.

Its not so much me wanting a bigger monitor,Although it would be nice...im after a Full HD monitor.:)

It isn't the size, it is the quality. It is the same size more or less, yes, but it is higher resolution than his current monitor and has LED backlight which (I assume) he doesn't have now, and that is worth losing an inch or two over.

=EDIT=

22inch and 23inch isn't much diffrence but 22inch is a really good size for a monitor plus with fully hd it will display a really good image.. ive just brought the veiwsonic off ebay for £85 posted witch is a really good deal the condition is like new... comes with all three inputs vga,dvi and hdmi really good panel and display one i would reccommend.

I personally would never recommend a Dell monitor.... let alone a Dell anything.

I currently have an LG E2250t which is LED backlit and 1920x1080. Theres no HDMI on my model so i just use DVI. i cant really see what difference it makes cause ive never seen a comparison but i love it. Its super lightweight like all LED monitors. Great picture too.

I have two Samsung 24" syncmasters. I would try to keep same monitors and same size. It will be a lot easier on the eyes side by side.
