At this point is DDR2 worth it for low end machines?

I was thinking about building a low end home server based off of the ATOM platform, but I don't know if I should consider DDR2 or just ignore it. All I will be doing is streaming content to my Xbox 360 and maybe storing system backups.

What do you guys think?

DDR3 is faster memory though. In my opinion, why buy old technology when you can buy the updated and it will last you longer in the long run before you have to upgrade.

If I were to buy that I would probably have to buy an Expansion card and do something about that little fan, but it looks fine.

Because it supports hyper threading does it show Up as two threads or four threads?
