malwarebytes and slow functioning

hey guys i downloaded malwarebytes, the free version, and i noticed that after i had done so and ran a scan that it seemed like my computer slowed down a bit. im thinking its a coincidence but i just wanted to get other opinions. has anyone experienced this?
 
Did it find any infections? You aren't giving us a lot of info here. What kind of system specs do you have?

Malwarebytes the free edition will not slow down your computer as it is not set up in Realtime mode, it will only work when you do a scan only but Malwarebytes can conflict with another antivirus program such as CA security suit.:eek: which could be the cause of your problem if you are using CA software.
 
I use to use malwarebytes but it caused my computer to get a virus or atleast it didnt protect it and i was using the professional version, so i switch to avg antivirus free edition and no more viruses ever.

Malwarebytes will not catch everything and neither will AVG. The malware that is out today can get past any antivirus/malware protection. So your statement about AVG is absolutley incorrect. Obviously, you don't deal with infections on a daily basis as I do.
