Yay no more days of updating after formatting

Got it installed on my desktop and notebook, but it refuses to install on the netbook

Is there a way to do a selective install of the Windows 7 SP1 download? There are a few updates that I do not want installed, but I've never tried on past operating systems to selectively install a service pack.

No problems here... I never understood service packs, are they just big bundles of updates for parts of the basic operating system? People post troubleshooting threads and they always specify which service pack they're using, but I don't see how it'd make a difference.

I they some of them actually have fixes to the base of the OS code, but I aint 100% on that. I know that not all the SP's are always better than the last. For instance SP2 of XP was loads more secure than SP3.

Here on my Acer, it has yet to see the SP1 Download in the Updates.Ive been looking daily, and nothing so far.
