Good Build !?

Need to buy a new comp,
budget of £800 or just over by a £10 or £15

i am using it for programs such as

photoshop,
illustrator,
3ds max,
maya,
avid media composer,
premiere pro,
after effects,

and just mainly graphical production,

maybe the odd online game but nothing with the hd capabilities of WoW just simple crappy stuff which is addctive xD

and well do you tink this is a good build .. i think as a start it will do upgrade on ram shortly after due to more funds and possible little upgrades but let me no please :)

24" 1928x1080 monitor

and then alll the little extras such as lan and wirless card soundcard xD nothing special in them just onboard crap for now and like wireless mouse and keyboard come with you no all the usual shite :P

i am willing to build this computer and purchasing the components from external sources if this will be cheaper i do have the correct knowledge in buiding a computer etc so that wouldnt be a problem just anyone no of any good UK companies to purchase components from :D
 
Hold the presses! If your primary activity is Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, you need to switch to the Sandy Bridge CPUs (which of course also means changing mobo and maybe RAM). Take a look at this article:

And switching to an nVidia graphics card with CUDA to speed up those two applications:

Maya I think also makes good use of CUDA - but I am not as familiar with that.

Take a look at those articles and let us know what you think. You can also go to the Adobe site and read more about CUDA - and of course the nVidia site has more info.

ok definitely looks good to get a sandy bridge and a CUDA, and yes i am willing to wait up to another 2 months to purchase this just any idea how this will effect the price in my budget compared to the parts, will i still get a pretty decent kick off computer that can be upgraded for the budget set !? :D

ok ive had a look around taking in mind the sandy bridges from the post above and am now wondering which from the two would be the best build ?!

you will need to get a 1155 board, not AM3.
And your boards onboard sound processor should be fine for what you need.

just a word of advice, If you install that triple channel kit on a 1155 board, you will be running in single channel mode. The 1155 is dual channel and 4 slot. You will need to look for a 8 GB kit to take advantage of dual channel (4 x 2gb or 2 x 4gb) or a 4GB kit (2 x 2gb).
