Processing on a budget

I am looking to buy a new processor and motherboard, and my budget is 350$ for just a processor and motherboard, preferrably intel processor and a motherboard with 2 way sli support. I will mainly be using this for video rendering and videogames. I would like to know if anyone had any suggestions.

Alright, i dont need sli support but how about this for a processor

And then a 100$ ish motherboard with a gtx 560 ti, and about 8-16 Gb of ram?

Sounds alright. Unless you're overclocking (I doubt you would be with rendering and such) there's no need for a K model processor. A regular 2500 would do and cost less.

GTX 560 is a good card.

You also want lots of RAM, but you want fast speeds and low timings as well, something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231431

Will 8 gigabytes of RAM really boost his processing power over 4 gigabytes of memory? 4 gigabytes may be more than adequate.

Thanks for the help, im going to settle with the ASUS P8H67-M LE, i5 2500, G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB), and gtx 560 ti.

I was wondering why you were being recommended a Socket 1156 motherboard when Socket 1155 technology is out? Some Socket 1155 processors are cheaper and have a lot more processing power. If you are going Intel Socket 1155 is the way to go in my opinion.

The Core i5 2500 Sandy Bridge Processor is great.
