DVD drive playing up

hey all my dvd drive has suddenly started reading my game disks as media disks, ie, would you like to play with windows media player, open pictures etc, rather than autoplay start etc.

any idea what the problem is?

nope, i did a malware bytes scan, hijack this etc to check for malware (with the help of john from here who ran me through it) thats the only thing different iv done :/

i updated the drivers yesterday to see if that would do anything and i got nothing, is it helps its a smasung sh s182m

Depending on OS you could for example right-click on the drive and select Autoplay tab. I could not check because I have autoplay disabled using Tweak UI. For Vista you could go Control Panel > Hardware and Sounds> Autoplay and change the Software and Games option. W7?

You could run Tweak UI, My Computer, Autoplay, Handlers, and edit an existing or create new. I'm sure you can do it via the registry too.

It would be great if there was a prominent warning on the "New Thread" page to only post once per problem. Multiple posts of the same problem is a waste of time and effort, generally confusing and happens too often.
