I need a laptop for college, work, medium gaming (Will be good if a heavy gaming one comes in my budget below), internet, animation on 3Ds MAX and Maya in future, watching movies.
My budget is 900 to 1000$, Cannot go above that. I want a laptop that will run at least 3 years without any major problems.
Please suggest me a good laptop. :)

Go to Ebay or Amazon... i always find cool stuffs there. I buy mine in 1215$ in Amazon and works amazing for me, at college too!

HP- http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome-copy.html

Dell- http://www.dell.com/

Asus- http://www.asus.com/entryflash.htm

iBuypower- http://www.ibuypower.com/

CyberPower- http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

Walmart (believe it or not, Walmart has cheap extended warranties on laptops)- http://www.walmart.com/

Wanting your laptop to last longer than 3 years? No problem. All of the manufacturer's posted above produce sturdy, long lasting laptops. Each brand has their pros, and have been in the computer business for a quite a while.

For the Animation and 3Ds max you would need a good CPU and for gaming a good GPU.You would need a comletely balanced out laptop.

Tell me one thing. Is your budget Rs50,000 and you are buying from India or you are buying from USA.If from US then I would also recomend taking a look at sagernotebooks.

I like the Asus N53Sv. Not sure how good is the GPU. (Black ops? Crysis 2? at medium settings without lag?) I need to record game-play too.
Yes my budget is under 50,000Rs, but would be good if I get a good one at 40,000Rs. i.e 900$

Are you buying from India or US?

Because in Indian and Foreign Models may differ and also the price will be completely different.

id equate the GT 425 to around a 9600GT in performance, but i could be dead wrong, im just looking at figures i seen on the desktop comparison guide and taking into account this is a mobile gpu

I am buying from India only, as if I buy from U.S there will be lots of Shipping charges and Tax.
