Mobo cpu upgrades?

Hi,

Are there any Core 2 motherboards which support upgrading to Quad Core, or are Duo and Quad processors (mobo slots) mutually alien :eek:

Not necessarily, a lot still only supported Celeron/Pentium/Duo.

@OP, there are a lot of socket 775 boards that support quad core processors, as well as lower end processors so could be upgraded. Is your question more "show me a motherboard that will support Core 2 Quad processors"?

Thanks guys. I want a 2Core barebones but, to be on the safe side, one that I can upgrade to a quad if I find the duo is struggling.
