Hey decided to get a i5 instead of i7, purely cause I only game.
I don't understand overclocking so I don't think I need the K version.
I'm getting the 6950 2gig with a HAF 912a. 750w psu to power it. Maybe 6 gig of ram.

My question is which i5 2500, I don't understand the pin section part of the model number.
And with that, which motherboard would be good for it.
Budget for cpu and board is around $400.

I really am not sure about this subject, cpu's and boards I don't understand so any help would be good.

You shouldnt get 6GB of ram, sandy bridge is not triple channel, you should either get a 4GB kit, atm that is more than sufficient, or an 8GB kit.

I'm looking for single gpu, I think a 6950 will last me. That ram is a great price.
If I wanted a single gpu board, could I save money getting a board without crossfire/sli features?
