Run OS off Ssd help

Is the OS 7?
If the OS is installed to the ssd, it will be the primary(c) drive no matter the port.
However, If they are both new, 0 and 1. (doesn't matter which is 0 and which is 1). And set those ports to ACHI mode. The port that the OD is connected to may need to be in IDE mode in order to use it to install the os.
Setup and Manage SSD

Just plug them in wherever on the motherboard and install windows. Windows will recognize both hard drives so you can choose which one you want to install windows onto. It's pretty straight forward.

yes i am using Win7

and i didnt really understand that lol
Connect the ssd to any sata 3 port and set that port to achi mode before installing Windows.
You can put the hdd to any port, but it wont be faster on sata 3. You can also set the hdd port to achi mode, but it may or may not perform better in that mode. If you use any achi features, set the hdd to achi mode.
