Readyboost

In anyone's experience, does this feature really make a difference?

I'm asking because in another thread, I was asking if my computer could run Win7 32-bit with my system. I only have 2Gb of RAM and no more room for anymore. If I used ready boost with say, a 4Gb stick, would that increase performance?

And I heard on another site that Readyboost really only helps people with computers that has 1Gb or less RAM. Any help?

If your motherboard supports it then yes. Good choice.
32 bit windows will see like mine 3.5 gig. Could just add
another gig and get along fine. Might want to consider also
some housekeeping and clean up. should be done anyway
and eliminating programs in startup and click as needed
with 2 gig. I do with 4 gig. defrag etc.

2GB of RAM is enough to run Win 7 nicely.
ReadyBoost won't do anything for you.
It may make sense, if you had 1GB of RAM, or less.
USB transfer rate is much, much slower, than RAM's rate.
