CPU in gaming

Quick question. When it comes to gaming, holding the video card constant, will a more powerful cpu give better frames? To what degree does cpu affect game performance because everyone makes it seems like the gpu is the be all, end all.

The processor will have 0 affect while the graphics card and graphics card memory have a big affect on gaming

Not true at all. The processor does have an effect on frames rates to a certain degree. Both CPU and GPU work together to produce everything in a game. If the CPU isn't powerful enough, it will drop frame rates. It's what people refer to as a bottleneck.
