Good gaming laptop

Hi All, I'm getting my company bonus at the end of the month and looking to replace my gaming latop which was stolen at the end of January :eek:

I have about €1500 and was looking at alienware through Dell but I've been told I'm just paying alot for the brandname. I'm not too familiar with which brands are reliable or which should be avoided, I've only ever had Dell :s so would really appreciate peoples suggestions for what gaming machine (no Macs) they would buy on this budget (or less if I don't need to spend this much ;)), something that will do me for the next few years.

I'm Irish but living in Spain and I do not want a Spanish version of windows so preferrably something that can be delivered to spain with English windows, if something is really worth it I would travel to Ireland to pick it up.

Get the Asus G73SW Gaming laptop.
It will come in your budget and will play games at high settings.
Check it out at asus.com.
 
Hmm, its actually under 2000 $ that means it should be under 1500 Euros.
Well there are always other options available, check out G73Jw and G53Jw (15 ")
 
I found some reviews for it dated back to 2009 but I couldn't find it for sale anywhere.

Asus don't have it listed on their site any more either :S
 
Typically you get what you pay for in gaming machines. Alienware does make some of the best gaming machines along with Clevo. Clevo machines in England are the Rock brand and in the USA they are Sager. Alienware was expensive even before Dell purchased them. If you want cheaper not quite as powerfull look at Asus and MSI.

Asus and MSI laptops power just walks over Alienware, Have you seen Alienware's M11x and M14x latest laptops? they have very low specs for the high price. The M15x has a good GPU GTX 460 for 1500$ where as MSI GT 700 series has GTX 560M (walk over).
