I just installed Win 7 Professional 64-bit, and Win7 says my drivers aren't installed, but they are since I installed them and can see them in device manager. (Don't hate on my theme!)(And yes, my computer is named Charmander...)

But this always pops up:

Do you think I actually don't have the right drivers installed? I got them from the ATI website, and the driver is...:

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/CatalystAGPHotfix.aspx

Yes, my video card is AGP. I installed the "AMD Catalyst 11.4 Hotfix for Windows 7 / Windows Vista 64-bit Edition."

So is it not installed, or just an error? If so, how do I stop it from popping up? Thanks!

UPDATE: Well, I tried playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and it said Directx has encountered an unrecoverable error. Great. Anyone knows what to do?

Run the installer again, this time pick uninstall AMD Drivers and programs. Reboot and install the driver and CCC again.

Its another guess only. Not sure. Ive only used intel. Question, when you installed and the option came up to format, did you quick format or full format. Just a thought. Im just saying if i do or have in the past or upgraded i always did a full format and always worked well.

Sir I didn't quite get you.:confused::confused:

Have you tried exactly what this guide says

And what is your monitor's resoultion and what is the max resolution you are getting in the Display settings and also after the installation can you see the ATI CCC option after you right click on the desktop??

Ive seen it few times and someone updates like a new clean install or a new upgrade. Me personally did years ago. I had issues and did again. did a quick format, took all the updates, installed drivers, programs and had the same issue. My problem was because i did not wipe clean. It was just a thought. Maybe, maybe not. an idea. then again i may be way off course. Im sure others or when he tries that might work also. an idea. Says he has the right updated drivers for 7. did not work. something is different is happening. I did a quick format. Wrong for me. Now i only do full format when asked.
