Hi guys i just built my first rig on tuesday and i am getting an error light on the motherboard right next to the 24(?) pin power connector indicating that there is something wrong with the vga card.

My setup is as follows (ignore my sig, its old):
Asus crosshair iv formula mobo
AMD phenom ii x6 1100t
Visiontek radeon HD 6950
microcenter brand RAM 4GB (for now, will be getting something better)
Corsair GS600W PSU
Case: ZNXT phantom

does anybody have any suggestions? anybody else run into this issue? maybe something i might have forgotten to do?

thanks for any help :)

Do you have any other video card to use or perhaps a local friend's card just to see if the card is really the problem? Sometimes you get a DOA, it's rare for a video card but it does happen.
If not I'd suggest going to a local PC store, even if they sell used ones, just pick up the cheapest PCIe video card you can find just to have video and confirm the card is DOA and then you can send it in for an RMA while you atleast have a picture on your screen :)

hi,
have you tried any other card like games or graphic card?
Are they running without error?
If no then their is a problem in your PCI.
This is just a case there could be other problem in your system have you tried your card on other system.
