I have been on Microsfoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista and 7.

Along with the poll I would also like to know if you can still get the very first 1 a Microsoft Windows 1.0 and where you would get 1 from these days.

Where is the poll? Also it should be select all that apply.

Sorry to keep you waiting I had not edited the poll on.:)

Also before the days of Windows 95 my Mum went on 1 when I was very little that had Microsoft Word Perfect on. I would also like to know what computer Word Perfect was on.:)

I've basically used Windows since version 3.0, so:

3.0
3.11
95
98
98se
ME
2000 pro
XP
Vista
win 7

Also:
Windows CE

I also used 95 rev B and C, which added USB support but by that time I was pretty much switched over to win98 permanently.

Everything from 3.1 thru 7. Never had an ME machine myself, but I have used the POS.

between windows 3 to windows 7. not Me or Vista. Before that i had 3 computers with just dos only. think i started a ver 4 to 6.2 for dos. At work we only had Dos in the 70's.

Used a database case Borland Reflex and Formtool for creating documents and work orders for procedures. Also no internet. wasn't invented yet. Only dial up bulletin boards. started with 4k to 56k modem i think.
early 70's.

I seem to recall Windows 1 and 2 were in-house projects, 3.0 was the first published for sale.

I've been on all those, also, NT, 2K, ME. Previous to that, MSDOS v. 3-6, PCDOS, TRS-DOS, dabbled in CP/M, and a few other esoteric operating systems none of you have ever heard of.

From Windows 95 to Windows 7...

It would be even sooner, but I wasn't born yet xD

SPERM (in testicals): Cut the crap STARS!You were in your dad's balls and your dad was using computers even then before Windows 95 and since you were part of his body back then, you DID use Windows 1.0 computers and so on...

ME: What the hell?!

Hehehehe xD

I am older than a lot of you and my first computer had Windows 3.0 on it and I remember upgrading to 3.11 and getting a dos shell. I can't imagine all of you used computer that old. I am not sure I would count VMs either, since they are like 100x times faster than a computer was back in the early 90s.

I've used pretty much every MS OS there ever was starting with DOS 1.1 or so including OSes you left off the list such as Win 3.11 for Workgroups, Win 98SE, NT (Workstation & Server), Win 2000, 2003 & 2008 Server editions. I also used OS/2 when it was a joint project with MS and IBM.

Anybody out there remember MS BOB?

I dont see what they would gain from misrepresenting the facts. Its not like someone would refuse to buy Windows just because windows 1.0 was inhouse, but represented as a retail version, or vise versa.

The winners write history.

I'm not saying their version is not the truth, but they aren't going to necessarily mention the fact that they sold a disk operating system to IBM before they actually owned it, or that Windows was largely derived from work done under contract for Apple, or that they labeled a new product with a later version number to convince the public that it was stable.

I'm not saying any of that previous statement if absolute fact, either. Welcome to the computer industry.

who here is calling Microsoft the winners? Apple's shares are growing, and Im pretty sure that if Linux had shares, that it too would be climbing.
