Early warning system

Do any computers come with early warning systems? (e.g. if your drive is getting filled up)

Not really, but thats easily to check yourself. Just check your available free space.

I was thinking of something more informative, e.g. what percent of available free space would be the danger zone (5%, 10% or something else)? Of course it would probably depend on the program you'd like to run.

You need at least 15% free space for windows defrag software to run. But frankly I wouldn't run it any smaller then say 20% depending on the size of the drive you have.
