Faster CPU? - Which one??? Help!

This is my first post so please be patient with me... :)
I have the following pc:
HP ELITE HPE-150T I5-750 2.66GHZ 8GB WIN 7 (Item# 390192547640)

I am a photographer and I find my pc slow when I edit photos in Photoshop. I use large 25MP and up sized files.

My question: How can I make my desktop faster? Should I get faster CPU? If yes, which one? I want a faster one which I can easily insert into my desktop PC after removing the present I5-750...

Please help! Which one should I get?

Cpu

The sandy bridge i7 is a good cpu, but is it compatible with your motherboard. What is the name of your motherboard? Also you could over-clock your current CPU to make it faster but the temperature would raise as well.

MrDeath, you ROCK! Is there a good tutorial to read about how to over-clock my CPU?
How can I find out what motherboard do I have? I am sorry for the basic questions!
 
Locked Bios

The bios can be unlocked but it is really risky.
Flash your motherboard with the BIOS from the Foxconn MCP73M01H1.
BEFORE YOU DO make sure you have a copy of the HP BIOS on something bootable so you can reflash with the HP BIOS if things go wrong.

To know which motherboard here are a couple of things.
dxdiag
The dxdiag utility included with DirectX allows you to not only display all system information but save it in an easy to read text file. To run this utility click Start, run, and type: dxdiag and press enter.
msinfo32
Run the Windows System Information (msinfo32) that comes pre-installed with Windows to determine installed hardware and software specifications.
Also this is a great third party program that will help on finding out the motherboard and other hardware.

Might as well get a new CPU because you could damage your hardware by over clocking if you do not know how.
