Largest Wi-Fi Tablet devise?

I'm wondering if there is any such thing as a wi-fi device with a large screen - say 17". Basically like a laptop, but I don't need all the computing power / hard drive storage. I'm just looking for something that I can use to connect to my wireless router for web access while sitting on the couch watching TV. Something that boots quickly like a smart phone, but with a big screen (resolution doesn't have to be hi definition) that a 50 year old can still see.

Does such a devise exist, or if not is anyone talking about creating one? If my best bet is a laptop, any recommendations on a cost effective option given that I don't care about the "PC capability"

thank you in advance for any and all feedback

17" is pretty big and as far as I know there isn't anything that big at the moment. Some of the biggest things I know about so far are things like the Eee Pad Transformer which is 10.1".

Not a bad idea, but ....

I guess I could use some type of wireless monitor connector to run from my desktop PC to this monitor, but what about power? I cant imagine there are any such touchscreen monitors that are battery powered?

Yeah you won't find anything like that. You're really not going to find anything terribly large.

iPad is the largest that i know of - But you cant get them anymore - Only the iPad 2. They are a fraction smaller.

Just to be correct, the ipad2 is the same size as the ipad 1, only thinner. And there are several android based tablets available with 10.1" screens, making them larger than the 9.7" ipad1 or 2.
