Computer screen freezeing.

Hello, everytime i play a game then my screen freezes after 15 min or something and im forced to hold down my power button.
and the GPU is about 57 degrees.

System specs:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , Service Pack 1, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10
Processor Count: 2
RAM: 8190 Mb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250, 1024 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 953666 MB, Free - 579311 MB;
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., P43-ES3G, x.x,

While playing a game -> 64

On desktop -> 42

Not bad. ;) I guess the CPU isn't the problem. Have you updated your video card drivers recently? Also, what wattage is your power supply? It might not be powerful enough to run your video card.

All drivers are upto date. And my power supply is 1000W

You're good. :) Any other temps that seem unusual?

Also, do you have any extra video cards that you could test with the system? If it works with another card, then maybe you have a bad video card.
 
Did you make any changes to your system before these freezes began to happen?

I would also take a compressed air can to your processor heatsink to blow dust and debris out of it. Perhaps there is just too much garbage clogged in your heatsink.

Well, I guess that you could technically get a really cheap crappy card on ebay. :) You could also try doing some googling on the topic, although you probably already have. You're much more intelligent on your problem than a lot of other posters. :)
