My current one is having some problems and after 6 years, I think it's time to build a new one. I don't plan to play any hardcore games such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, and such, but I do plan to play a lot of games and want this to be a gaming computer. It would be great if someone could make a good guess of specs I should have if I want to play all these games:

Fallout: New Vegas (Lowest Setting)

Operating System: XP, Vista, Windows 7
Processor: Dual Core 2Ghz (enhanced for multi-core)
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 6 Series or similar (ATI 1300 minimum)
Memory: 2GB
Hard Disc Space: 10GB

Fallout 3 (Lowest Setting)
Recommended requirements according to Steam Store.

Operating system: Windows XP/Vista
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo processor
Memory: 2 GB System RAM
Hard disk space: 7 GB
Video: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA 8800 series, ATI 3800 series)
Sound: DirectX®: 9.0c

Grand Chase
Recommended requirements according to official website.

Windows © System XP
Pentium IV 2.8GHz
1024MB or more
3.5GB HDD space free
DirectX 9.0c Runtime
GeForce 7000 series or better

Trickster
Recommended requirements according to official website.

Windows® System XP
Intel Pentium IV 1.5GHz
512MB
3.5GB HDD capacity
DirectX 9.0c
3D support Graphic Card

Team Fortress 2 (Lowest settings)
Recommended requirements according to Steam Store.

Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better)
1GB RAM
DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card
Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP

I don't plan to play any games of higher quality then Fallout: New Vegas, but if possible, please take into consideration of downloading additional add-ons for the games. I don't know much about computers, but any information given will be helpful. My budget is around $1000 and if anyone can recommend me some brands for motherboards, processors, video cards and such, that would be great.

What makes that build so good, can you name some pros and cons? I would prefer to have an Aces motherboard as well.

Aces? Never heard of that.

Pro:

Quality parts
Reliable
Warranty of everything
Affordable
Will play the games you listed with ease

Cons:

No Crossfire capability
Bulldozer comes out in a month or two, making the Phenom II line obsolete

That's about all I can think of. It's a good machine.

Sorry, meant to type "Asus." Just curious, but how long do you think the system will last? Will I have hardware errors and such, and how would I fix them if it happened.

Here's a couple Asus AM3+ motherboards that NE has.
One has no onboard video and 1 - x16 pcie slot. The other has ob video and 2 - x16 pcie slots.
Both are ATX form factor.

The warranties are..
mb = 2-3yrs
cpu, ps, and hdd=3yrs
vc and ram=lifetime
case and od=1

... and should last well beyond that. If you ever have a problem with hardware, you could het help here, finding what the problem is, for the fix or return that piece if its under warranty
