Hi,

Just unboxed the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro for my new i5 2500K and I stupidly put my bloody finger on the bottom of the cooler and took a chunk off the thermal paste.

Does it require both thermal paste on the bottom of the cooler and on the top of the CPU, or just in one place? I have special cleaning fluid and the thermal paste but advice on what to do next would be most appreciated

i would say to get a piece of paper or something to srape it off then on to it but i'm guessing it's too late for that, but you could take that paper and fold it to a good size, then spread the paste around it evenly over it, it's better than nothing

Just clean it off. Put a small rice size amount on top of the CPU in the middle and let the cooler spread it out. Or spread it out as even as possible. Only put it on the CPU, not both.
