Installing GRUB

I have a 500gb HD "E" with Windows XP, also a 500gb HD "C" that I have formatted, both show "Healthy" on the disk manager. Before installing Linux Mint on HD "C", I need to install GRUB. This is my problem, I cannot seem to get a download of GRUB, I have changed them to:"exe" without effect.
Where can I get GRUB that I can install & use for duel booting for XP & Linux.

Linux Mint will have Grub 2 with it. Installing LM will also install Grub 2 as the default boot loader.
