Is a SSD like a HDD where the more you fill it up the slower it becomes? Like I have been always told to try and keep a HDD under 50% full for best performance. Thanks for any response.

No,,it's more like filling past a certain amount (%) will slow it.
A rule of thumb is to leave 15-20% unused.

If you fill a hard disk drive more than 85% full you cannot defragment it. I defragment my hard drive almost everyday. Yes I know it is excessive, but I love having a fast hard drive.

People tend to have their SSD purely for their OS(s) and then have another HDD (SATA) for data

Speaking of, you do not need to defragment your SSD. It'll be the same speed and actually cause more read/write operations.

Actually, you *should not* Defrag a SSD just for that reason. They maintain themselves - install once and let them be.
