if you need the specs for any of this i used geeks.com
please help asap

You should post links to each item. From what I see...

Get a different hard drive. Go for western digital, seagate, or Samsung F3 drives. Better reliability.

Get a difference power supply. The brand you chose is not very good.

You did not post any RAM. You need that to run the computer.

The upgrades I posted will cost extra money, but it will last longer. Do you have an operating system?

i didnt post the ram because i have ram cards from the old computer i think there samsung 1gb heres the links for all the parts i switched the hard drive to a western digital. its okay if the parts are a little more expensive because so far its not costing to much. wasnt sure what power supply. i saw a power, blue star, hercules, logisys, echo star, and cooler master. this is my first computer so any help is greatly apreciated. and no i dont have an operating system

Memory is pretty cheap for DDR3. If you're going the AMD get an AM3+ motherboard. Cost will depends on the overall features of the mobo. SATA III ports offer faster transfer speeds (6gb/s). If you want it to be future proof you'll want an hdmi port and whatever video output you use for your monitor. USB 3.0 mobos are out but the CPUs can't take advantage of it. How are you going to connect to the Internet? Wired or wireless? Are you hooking up speakers look at available channels. You'll want Spdif/optical out for the future. What are you using this system for? You probably don't need a video card.

What's your budget?

well not sure how much my mom wants to spend but im sure she will go up to maybe 400 she doesnt want top of the line but not a regular computer either because they run a bunch of different programs at the same time.
its gunna be your everyday use computer and a little bit of gaming for me so it will need to run age of empires and comand and conquer

okay ill do the combo if its in the budget range that my mom wants because im not too sure.
but once i get a job ill want to build a high end computer for me maybe drop 600 to 1,000 dollars just depends on how well my job pays. its gunna be a gaming computer and running programs for automotive work. house building programs and your basic everyday use.
