first of i wanna thank you in advance for your help. i'm in the market for an all out gaming pc ( it probably wouldn't be doing much else besides gaming and some youtube and facebook here and there) i'm kind of a noob when it comes to hardware so building my own computer is pretty out of the question, and i really don't wanna get ripped of by the local pc stores, so what i'm trying to ask you is could recommend a gaming setup for a budget of $2500 AUD. also please could you tell me exactly how much you think it'd cost (i really don't want to get ripped off) and what cpu do you recommend and also do you think i could get dual graphics cards for that price (and also i don't even know what crossfire or Sli is, so someone explaining that would be helpful) so um pretty much any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

#1 - Consider How to Build a Computer - Step by Step (With Photos) .
It isn't hard to do, and will get you the most reliable quality on ALL the parts, whereas prebuilts come with sacrifices to quality and/or price.

#2 - There are pro computer builders here to guide you in the right direction on all the components.

#3 - SLI for nVidia and Crossfire for AMD are terms for running 2 video cards.
One single powerfull card that will run everything as intended is better than using 2. The second video card is usually for an upgrade to video performance when the the future demands of gaming etc warrant it.

So your budget is roughly $2668 USD? You can build a great PC for around $1500. Unless google converted it wrong, but that's a huge chunk of change to buy a computer with.

For a gaming PC AUD 2500 is a lot to spend even though the prices of computer components there are high.
I would suggest building your own computer since you are investing that much, you should know on what you have spent your money and why and if you build your own computer you can also solve minor problems which may arise in the future, since you know what you have put in it.

If you are willing to wait AMD will be releasing their new line of CPUs soon, and if you are not then
Core i5 2500k
8GB DDR3 1600MHz
1155 Motherboard
A GTX 570
A Corsair 600T
Seasonic/Silverstone/Antec/XFX/PC Power and Cooling/Corsair 550W PSU
A SATA 6GBPs HDD
Would do.:D

hey ben thanks for your help, but do you really think i'd be able to build my own computer? i'm what you'd call a medium level noob (i do know some things, like where to put the ram and hard drive etc but i'd be totally lost when it comes to things like liquid cooled cpu etc) i need this computer by august 23rd (my birthday) also the other guy said that amd will realese their new cpu's soon but will it be in time? (thanks again :D )

Water cooling is overrated and unneeded unless you're going for really high overclocks. AMD hasn't said when they will be releasing (that I know of). Looks like you don't really need to order the parts for another 6 weeks? Maybe wait till then and see what's happened? Parts will probly cost a bit less then, and you can have it built and running in an afternoon.

ur right in that i don't need to order parts for another 6 weeks but i'm seriously doubting i could build a pc by my self, and lots of pc stores rip you off so its pretty much lose lose for me :(

As Ben said it would be better to wait since the prices might go down by a bit.
And also you can try building your computer and it is pretty simple and also would save you a lot of money. :D

And if any problems just post over here we will help you out.
:D

There's an excellent guide on this forum on how to build your PC. It's not that hard, just attaching components and wires. The hardest part is making sure everything is compatible and apply thermal paste, but even that isn't that hard.
