Drivers...

Hi everyone, Im new to this board but I had a question and from what I see this seems to be the place to go. I did a search, maybe using incorrect parameters but I didnt find particularly what I was looking for.

My dillemma:
I have an old E-machine, model # t3656.
Its acted funny since my last format.. by funny I mean, if I dont put the windows xp cd key in the disc drive before shutting it down, when starting up, it will give me some error. This I dont care about, ive resigned to leaving the xp cd in, when not playing a game.
However my roommate messed it up and started a windows install. XP Pro.
So i have a fresh reinstall with windows xp.. thing is, the T3656 came initially with Vista.. So here I am, looking for the last 2 hours for Drivers, and all I can find are either Vista Drivers, or places SELLING recovery discs or selling "driver detectives". Been to like 100+ sites in the last hour to no avail. Any tips as to how to get these drivers I need?

Unfortunately there are no official drivers available for xp on that machine; as you can see on the following link, there are only drivers for vista:
http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=1587

As rubbish as vista may be, I would suggest you just save the hassle and go back to vista, at least that way you'll have a machine that you can use :)

If not, the other option would be to get the specific model of each hardware component in your pc, and go to the manufacturers sites to see if they have the xp driver. I doubt you'll be taking this option, but if you do then here is a link to a fantastic tool that will tell you the specific model of the hardware in your pc:

Look in device manager for every device that still requires a driver and do this.

Right click on that device and click on properties, click on the details tab, then give me the 4 digit vendor and device id numbers for that device, they look like this. They are circled in red.
