I have a GTX 580 as my main card, but i also have a GTX 260 216 out of my old system that Id like to make a dedicated physx card, how do i go about setting this up? Do the cards need separate drivers, or will they run off the same ones, and also i heard you have to hook up a display cable from each card. Thanks

Btw my monitor is a 50" Samsung Plasma 1920x1080 if that makes a difference also... and im using the mini-hdmi to hdmi adapter that came with the GTX580 as a display cable

System Specs

ASUS P8Z68 Mobo
EVGA GTX 580 1.5Gb
i5 2500K @ 4.73Ghz
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
Corsair H70 Liquid Cooling
Thortech 1000W PSU
Crucial 64Gb SSD w/ Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Western Digital 1TB Storage
Seagate 500GB Storage

All you need to do is add the 260 to a second Pci-e slot, connect up its power...Go into NVIDIA control panel and select the Physx Options....choose to use the 260 as dedicated Physx.

Then all should be good.

You won’t need to use separate drivers, Leave your monitor connected to your 580. :)
