Smallest Computer?

Does anyone know what the smallest computer (And by computer I mean not a cellphone and runs a fairly recent OS and can do basic things that a normal computer can do.) ever made was.

And does anyone know the smallest computer you can Purchase or build?

if you are looking for a small pc, you can actually use for serious purposes you may want to consider, mini itx form factor, very small but can be powerful and can be self built easily

Get a netbook and call it a day unless ya have excellent vision. $230 bucks.
Smaller is glory only. Useless except for conversation only.

It's not for bragging rights or anything, (But I have to say with that comp the size of a thumb drive, I would) It's because I would like it to fit inside the little compartment on my desk and it's pretty small.
