Why is Ati Overdrive not being recognized???

My computer has been working right for a year now, and I decided to upgrade RAM and Hardrive, but I don't see what that has to do with my problem.

My problem is that the Ati Catalyst control center no longer shows the overdrive ability anymore. I need that ability to turn the Fan speed up because the card gets really hot.

Please help. :confused:
 
Have you done a unistall/reinstall of the driver suite? That might do it.

You can also try MSI afterburner. Better program IMO. You can have fan speed profiles that adjust as your card gets hotter.

I uninstalled/reinstalled from the CD, but it still isn't working. I don't understand why it's doing this.

I'm downloading an updated driver suite NOW to see if that works, but the CD install should've fixed it.
 
Do you mean its not even there or its just greyed out and you cant change it. If its greyed out, just click the little lock icon and then you can change it.
