Not bad, for the price you can't complain about the CPU and it is not like your doing anythng tasking with it.

If I may recommend if you want to have it run a little smoother put Ubuntu on there, just my two cents.

And I would defiantly agree with installing a linux distro on your new laptop. I would go Mint over Ubuntu, but thats just details (it comes with a few more default programs than Ubuntu, thus easier to use for the first timer)

Mint is nice but in experience ubuntu does better with application and hardware even though mint amd ubuntu are so similar example being skype video works better on ubuntu.
 
I don't know about skype, as I dont video call people, but that is very hard to believe. Mint and Ubuntu have the same core code. Because of this, they support the same software support.
 
Just telling some of the problems when I did a comparison to Mint, fedora, Open Suse and Ubuntu about two months ago.

I really liked Fedora and Open Suse but to hell with RPM packages.
