Hi all tech pro, i am writing in to ask for your advice on how to trace or identify the email sender or information on how to retrieve help.

We have been receiving emails that we believe were send from an disgruntled employee. This particular employee has been sending email to our client, directors, ministries and other important key holders on information that were untrue. For example this person will send email saying nasty things about our site manager or site staff. We believe that this is an internal staff who is sabotaging our company's reputation as the information released are very recent and only internal members know about.

So far, we received a couple of email, but i only have the forwarded copies. And i manage to get the person's email In the latest email attack this person hide his email and send in a fake email under

Any advice on what we can do?

the last attempt we tried to contact gmail and hotmail they were not very helpful and we are not sure on what we can do.

Please help anyone!

Yeah, call the police, your local FBI office (or if not in the US, your local branch of your nation's national security administration), and a lawyer, and do it NOW!

As BigFella Already posted a link.
Your respective State/Country should have a cyber crime division, contact them.
I do not know about your country, but here we have a cyber crime division which is directly accessible to the public and the complaints do not need to be redirected from the local police station.

It may be prudent to remove the email addresses listed in the original post as these are alleged attacks only and it may bring CF into disrepute by allowing them to be publicly viewable.

Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that you're going to be able to track this person by the emails themselves. The email providers aren't going to get involved unless law enforcement does, and given the huge amount of cybercrime that goes on these days they probably won't put much effort into a case like this.
